Keeping your Internet Browsers up to date is so important..

Regular checking to ensure your internet browsers are up to date is a great way of making sure you are not left open to malware or adware infections finding their way into your system.

Each internet browser has the ability to update on its own, but sometimes this is not enough and it is good practice to check for any updates yourself.

Below are steps for each of the most popular internet browsers used..

Goolge Chrome Browser:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More.

  3. Click Update Google Chrome.

    • Important: If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.

4. Click Relaunch.

Firefox Browser:

  1. On the Menu bar, click the Firefox menu and select About Firefox.

  2. The About Firefox window opens. Firefox will check for updates and, if an update is available, it will be downloaded automatically by default.

  3. When the download is complete, click Restart to update Firefox.

Microsoft Edge:

To manually check for an update in Edge,

  1. Click the menu button in the top-right corner of the Edge browser window. It looks like three horizontal dots.

  2. Point to “Help & Feedback” and click “About Microsoft Edge.”

  3. Edge will check for any available updates and automatically install any available updates. Edge will also show you the browser version you have installed on this page
